Philosophy
We believe that we are an extension of each child’s family. Therefore, we focus on each individual child’s growth and development.
Curiosity, imagination and creativity are encouraged in a no-pressure environment. Independence, emotional, social and cognitive growth is fostered through creative play, large and small group activities, and a varied curriculum. These experiences are specifically designed for young children and will enable each child to develop at his or her own pace.
We consider our children’s families to be our partners in promoting healthy childhood development and values.
Health & Safety
At The Nurture Zone, we are committed to providing quality child care in a secure and loving environment. We maintain a daily cleaning and sanitizing schedule of our facility as well as all the toys and games which the children use.
Washing hands with soap and clean, running water is also an important step to avoiding getting sick and spreading germs to others. Children and staff must wash their hands when they enter the program, after using the rest room, before eating a meal or snack, or when they are soiled. We monitor hand washing and assist the children when necessary.
In compliance with New York State regulations, we perform fire, shelter-in-place drills, and daily health checks.
